On The MisfitZ V2 RP server, we’ve implemented a hybrid PK system that balances immersion with player longevity. Unlike many RP servers that go to extremes—either enforcing full PK for every death or avoiding it altogether—we’ve found a middle ground that promotes meaningful roleplay without stifling creativity.
PKs Are Conditional: Permanent kills are only possible under specific in-character conditions (e.g., major faction conflicts, narrative events, or mutually agreed scenarios). This ensures PKs feel impactful and significant.
Your Story Doesn’t End With Every Death: Regular deaths—whether in combat, by infected, or from accidents—don’t automatically mean the end of your character, allowing players and factions to continue their arcs without constant fear of losing everything.
Real Stakes Without the Frustration: This system preserves high stakes in roleplay while letting players feel safe investing deeply in their characters and stories.

The Outbreak and Collapse: In 2019, the Chernarussian Rage Virus tore through the population, leading to quarantine zones, military interventions, and the eventual collapse of civilization. Survivors now scavenge for what remains, navigating a landscape filled with infected, dangerous factions, and the ghosts of the old world.
Factions at Play:
The People : A bicephalous faction formed from NAPA and Chedaki insurgents, that have come to realise that survival would demand them to set aside their ideologies.
The Coalition : What little remains of the CDF and the French and US troops that intervened during the civil war have entranched themselves and have for an ultimate goal to keep UN scientists alive and allow them to pursue their researches, hoping to find a cure and finally be extracted from this foreign land.
The Prisoners : Composed of civilians, former guards, and rebels who escaped the Storozh prison island, "The Prisoners" are a politically neutral faction driven solely by the instinct to survive, after outside forces stroke the island with a POX shell.
Survival and Struggle: South Zagoria, one of the few regions where some semblance of order still exists, is at a breaking point. Food is scarce, the infected are relentless, and the power vacuum left by the collapse of the government breeds constant conflict. Will you be able to survive it ?
