Background

• 1998: Raccoon City collapsed after an uncontrolled T-Virus outbreak. Officially sterilized; Umbrella publicly disgraced but covertly restructured overseas.

• 1999: Umbrella established a covert research site in Chernarus, chosen for its fractured politics and remote oversight.

• 2005: Facility destruction (suspected sabotage) caused a containment breach and widespread regional infection. Survivors were relocated to a micro-facility in the South Sea. Chernarus was abandoned and left contaminated.

Current Status (2025)

Umbrella has authorized Project: Reclaim Chernarus. After ~20 years of neglect, Umbrella Tactical Teams (UTTs) and field agents will redeploy to regain control, eliminate liabilities, and erase evidence of past failures.

Primary Objectives (Agents)

1. Neutralize infected entities across all operational zones.

2. Eliminate unauthorized human elements (survivors, hostile factions, witnesses).

3. Recover or destroy remaining Umbrella assets originating from the 2005 breach.

Command Structure

• All deployed personnel operate under UTT oversight.

• UTTs hold absolute in-theater authority and act as corporate enforcers for Project: Reclaim Chernarus.

• Access to secured control points is restricted to UTTs; unauthorized entry will be met with immediate neutralization.

Supplemental Objectives (UTTs Only)

• Oversee compliance and loyalty of deployed agents.

• Maintain constant security sweeps of strategic points:

  • Zelenogorsk Military Base

Rules of Engagement & Security

• Prioritize mission secrecy; minimize public exposure.

• Recover intellectual property and critical assets where feasible; otherwise destroy to prevent compromise.

• Report anomalies and suspected sabotage immediately to UTT command channels.

• Loyalty and obedience are mission-critical — noncompliance will be handled per internal protocols.
